Membership

Your investment, your return.

Dues are modest. What they buy is a physician-led voice in Columbia, education that keeps you current, and a community that represents South Carolina anesthesiology at the state and national level.

What you get

What membership returns

Four ways your membership works for you and for the specialty.

Advocacy

A voice at the State House

The Society carries the physician perspective to legislators and regulators in Columbia and defends the standard of care that keeps patients safe.

Education

Annual meeting and CME

Members stay current through the annual meeting and year-round continuing medical education on the science and practice of anesthesiology.

Community

A statewide community

Connect with physician anesthesiologists from across South Carolina through regional gatherings and the annual meeting.

Representation

A seat in the ASA House of Delegates

South Carolina sends delegates to the ASA House of Delegates, so the state’s physicians help shape national anesthesiology policy.

What membership includes

Everything below exists today. Nothing here is billed on this site: Society dues are collected with your ASA national renewal.

From the Society

  • The bill tracker and the advocacy record

The Society follows every anesthesia bill through the session, and members can see where each one stands and what the Society did about it.

  • The annual meeting and CME

Members attend the annual meeting and the Society’s continuing medical education on the science and practice of anesthesiology.

  • Delegates in the ASA House of Delegates

South Carolina sends its own delegation, so a member’s position on national policy is carried by physicians who practice here.

  • Colleagues in every district

The executive committee seats members from each congressional district, so the Society reaches physicians across the whole state.

  • Member resources

Practice, licensure, and partner-organization references are collected in one place for members who need them.

In your member account

  • Claim your directory listing

Connect the roster record the Society already holds for you, and it stays yours.

  • Show the SCSA member badge

Opt in and your public listing identifies you as a Society member, with the detail you choose to share.

  • Keep your profile current

Update your credentials, subspecialty, county, hospital, photo, and bio whenever they change.

  • See your dues standing

Check what the Society has on record. Society dues are billed with your ASA national renewal.

Get involved

More than a membership card

Members shape the Society’s work. Here are a few ways to step in.

Serve in leadership

Stand for an officer role or join the executive committee, which includes members from each congressional district.

Represent South Carolina nationally

Serve as a delegate to the ASA House of Delegates or in ASA leadership on behalf of the state.

Support the Society’s PAC

Help sustain the largest medical specialty political action committee in South Carolina.

Be a legislative contact

Legislators respond most to physicians who reach out personally. Tell the Society if you know a lawmaker so we can call on you when it counts.
