For Patients

Thank your anesthesiologist

Behind every safe anesthetic is a physician who watched over you from the first moment to the last. If your care meant something to you or your family, send a note of thanks and the Society will pass it along to the physician who cared for you. You do not need to remember their name to say it.

A word of gratitude

Your thanks, delivered

Physician anesthesiologists rarely hear from the patients they care for once recovery is over. A few sincere lines can mean a great deal.

Start typing your physician’s name and pick them from the statewide directory. A first name, a last name, or a piece of either is enough, and you can narrow the search by city. Prefer to look around first? Browse the full directory and send your note from their profile.

Never caught the name? That is common in anesthesia care, where you may have met for only a moment before your procedure. Choose “I don’t remember their name,” tell us the hospital and roughly when, and the Society will identify the physician for you.

Your message is read only by Society staff and the physician you are thanking. Leave your email if you would like the chance of a reply. It is never required.

Send your thanks

Linked to this physician’s listing in the national provider registry, so the Society can pass your note along accurately.
